DTU Application of Jrepus 4G DTU in electric remote automatic meter reading

With the development of industrial automation, remote intelligent meter reading has been developed in the original manual meter reading. Through the existing network, the required data is collected from the remote end intelligently. Then, in many places, it must be unattended. The equipment or monitoring points are not suitable for building a wired communication network. If optical fiber or radio is used to realize wireless communication, not only the investment in equipment is huge, but also it is not suitable for mobile needs.

With the emergence and full investment of the new generation of mobile communication services, the application of wireless mobile data communication is becoming more and more extensive. The secure data transmission and always-on features, combined with the charging method based on traffic, make the application of wireless communication in industrial control, environmental protection, road traffic, business finance, mobile office, retail service and other industries have incomparable cost-effective advantages . The mobile IP communication using the GPRS wireless communication network can be used as a data transmission channel independently, or as an auxiliary means that has already set up optical fiber and data transmission stations.

The system is composed of a watt-hour meter, an IPMODEM transmission terminal, and a master station with system software.

Meter:

A) Three-phase active and reactive multi-function meter, active power level 0.5, reactive power level 2, with RS485 communication interface, DL/T645 communication protocol of the Ministry of Electric Power.  

B) Three-phase active power multi-rate meter, active power level 1, with RS-485 communication interface, DL/T645 communication protocol of the Ministry of Electric Power.

Transmission terminal:

The transmission terminal adopts Jrepus’s IP MODEM, which is always online in real time, embedded with a TCP/IP protocol stack with independent intellectual property rights, transparent transmission, supports RS232 and RS485 at the same time, supports multiple working modes, and supports virtual data private network.

Central software system:

Meter reading software based on ORACLE database, unlimited number of users, safe and reliable, fast operation and processing speed, rich and perfect functions.

The meter transmits the meter data to the IPmodem connection of Jrepus Communication through the RS485 communication interface, and the remote data center server can use 2/3/4G as the network access. When the IPMODEM is connected to the server host of the remote data center through the network, after establishing a transparent data channel, as long as the data generated by the meter is sent to the serial port, the IPMODEM will send the received data to the server host of the data center intact; After the command sent is transmitted to the IPMODEM through the channel, it is sent to the acquisition terminal through the serial port, thus realizing the two-way transparent transmission of data.

Tap water remote meter reading: Like electricity, with the development of industrial automation, the early manual water meter reading data is gradually eliminated, replaced by the wireless cellular network 2G/3G/4G remote meter reading system. The remote meter reading system consists of three parts: water meter terminal, wireless transmission terminal and data center. The water meter terminal is connected to DTU through RS232/RS485 interface to realize data transmission. 4G transmits data to the meter reading center to realize the remote meter reading system.
